Paul Christensen
Paul Christensen holds a BA (Hons) degree from Cambridge University and has more than 20 years experience in technical development and management in the telecommunications industry. In the middle 1980s he was engaged in R&D of a vehicle navigation system for Plessey Electronics Systems Research Ltd in the United Kingdom and from 1987 to 1990 he was Network Planning Manager at British Telecom.
In 1993 Paul set up his own company, Apache Systems Ltd., in Moscow to assist in the development of a Science Park attached to the Moscow State Institute of Electronic Engineering. Following engagements with several major telecom companies in the UK and Europe, including Energis Communications, Demon Internet, RWE Telliance, PSINet and Alcatel, in 1989 he took up the post of Director of Marketing and Business Development at Alcatel in Taiwan.
From 1999 Paul was Vice President, Asia-Pacific of Alcatel Network Applications Division in Hong Kong and Shanghai. In 2001 he took up the post of Director, International Accounts at Alcatel Hong Kong. Since 2005 he has been Vice President, Commercial Development with IDT Asia in Hong Kong.
